Features

With HostNine, you’ll have the option from choosing three different shared hosting plans. The Personal Plan from HostNine gives you unlimited storage with unmetered bandwidth. The only downside to the personal plan is that you can only host one single site on that account. So, if you are planning on expanding the number of sites in your portfolio, you may want to consider the next plan. The best value plan at HostNine is the Business solution, where you can host up to 100 websites for only $5.95/month. The next plan up is called Enterprise and you can host as many websites as you want on it. Additional perks with the Enterprise plan include a free dedicated IP address and SSL certificate. SSL certificates can be quite expensive, so for the overall price of $8.45/month, you are getting much more than just hosting.

Reliability

HostNine began offering web hosting services in 2006 and was purchased along with it’s sister company A Small Orange (ASO) by Endurance International Group (EIG) in 2012. Unlike other EIG takeovers HostNine and ASO remained mostly independent with their management, support, and servers up until very recent. HostNine promises 99.9% uptime with a fully active support system.

Support

Before you call in for HostNine support, you should probably search their forum and knowledgebase to see if you can find an answer. The HostNine Support Community always has active staff members online to answer your questions. If you have a common hosting related problem, there is a very good chance that someone else in the past would have also. Depending on the priority of your problem, you could also choose to submit a support ticket, as they tend to get answered fairly quickly. HostNine support is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week by phone, ticket, or live chat.

Value

As mentioned before, HostNine offers a Personal, Business and Enterprise plan. The price points are $3.45/month, $5.95/month and $8.45/month for the Personal, Business and Enterprise hosting plans, respectively. For those who want to host more than one site, you should not even think about the personal plan, as it would not be sufficient for your needs. Along with shared hosting services, HostNine offers other product lines such as reseller, cloud VPS and dedicated server hosting. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I've been waiting like 6 months on a reply and phone calls, this hosting is a joke and not at all secure!!! Bunch of kids busy messing with other peoples websites when they were not ever asked to do most of what they do. I've lost backups, pages, all kinds of stuff, and I know their reps do this crap because it's happened for the two years I had their service!

I've been with HostNine for quite a while after switching from HostGator who I was with for over a year. The support and reliability are definitely close in comparison and I've had nothing but a great experience with them. I've had almost no downtime and my sites, no matter how much traffic I receive on my shared hosting account never seem to decrease in speed/loadtime. I would definitely recommend HostNine to anyone who is looking for a great webhost that depends on guaranteed uptime and performance.

Hello,

I am a customer of Hostnine.com and going to review it now. I am completely satisfied with the hostnine. I have a reseller level one account with them, but i don't resell and only use it personally as i have many sites.

Their uptime is really great and in my experience I have never faced any server issues with them, thats the best thing i like of them. Besides, I love their support. You get replied within one day, but sometimes i do get replied from them within an hour as well..

Overall, they are a great host. I love using them and will recommend them everywhere.

I've been with Hostnine for about a month. Uptime is good and site load speed is very fast. Support is good and fast. Within minutes they respond to my support ticket.  Also they have good discount promo's.

Originally we chose this company because they offered 50% off the first year. As they say, you get what you pay for. The staff have managed to screw up just about every aspect of hosting: billing, MX records, DNS records, backups -- if it's important to you, they've probably screwed it up. Their servers are regularly blacklisted, which means that you can't send mail to any mail servers that rely on blacklist information. It's not uncommon for no one to answer the support telephone number, even after you've waited on hold for 45 minutes. Messages to staff go unanswered, and help tickets routinely take more than a week to receive a cursory answer. Solutions, if they come at all, take much longer. The frontline support staff are pleasant, but are extremely limited in their technical knowledge. They will try to help, but in our experience, often make the problem worse because they don't pay attention to details or they simply don't understand what they're doing. If your problem gets escalated to Level 3 support, you might as well go on vacation because you won't be getting a response for weeks. We stayed with them for a year because we kept thinking that the support couldn't possibly get worse. We were wrong.
